Vicky Noon - 2nd Cornet

Vicky started playing the cornet in her final year of secondary school in 1998. After leaving school she joined the Blackburn and Darwen Junior Band. Everyone was so friendly and supportive that she improved and progressed to the Blackburn and Darwen 'B' band. In 2004 she was offered a place in the Blackburn and Darwen Senior band, where she played at Pontins for the first time and the band came 2nd playing Lorenzo.

For a short time Vicky played solo cornet for the band but has now returned to her favourite seat - Second Cornet. (some of us are just back row players you know!) Vicky has taken part in many contests with Blackburn and Darwen band and has been proud of the band taking many top three placings in various contests recently. She has especially enjoyed playing at the National Finals twice in 2008 and 2009 and winning Butlins in January 2009.
