Thank You for playing my favourite piece of music, 'Nearer my God to Thee' You made it really special as today is remembrace day, well done!   10. Sorry for the late addition to the guestbook (yes I've been away again!).

    You should be very proud of the performance at Harrogate - it is a pity that the two clowns in the box didnt agree - especially as your performance was certainly far better than the bands placed in 2nd, 5th and 6th (the later two only just being able to play it!). Cant comment on the others in the top 3 as I didnt hear them but Blacburn and Darwen, along with Point of Ayr, should feel more than a little aggrieved at the result.

    Ah well ....... thats contesting. Onwards and upwards.

The 3 - 20min slots you played were excellant and could be herd aross the water no problem at all. Untill the next concert, keep up the good work and hope you fill your last 3 positions. David.

  18. What a superb concert last night from both the Senior and Junior bands.The reception from the audience was well deserved and everyone had a very enjoyable night.Special praise for all soloists and to Nick and Dee for their excellant presentations.

A bit of good news for all band members who remember our Lee(ex junior band player & principal trombone player in the senior band), he won the 3rd section on Saturday in the London & Southern Counties Area contest, making his contesting conducting debut, with his band Saint Sebastian Wokingham.

  39. Great concert at Sunnyhurst Wood today and surprisingly good accoustics for outdoors venue. Fantastic "Stardust" trombone solo! Enjoyed it enormously.
